Superyacht Challenge Antigua
Setting sail in March, the 2020 Superyacht Challenge Antigua will be the 10th edition of this popular regatta event, which is quickly gaining popularity within the sailing community. Hosted by the SYCA, the Superyacht Challenge Antigua fosters a warm atmosphere for friendly competition, as superyacht owners from across the world (along with their crew and guests) set sail from English Harbor on courses of 12-30 miles. Antigua’s warm trade winds and consistent ocean swell make for ideal conditions for this sailing yacht regatta.
What does Superyacht Challenge Antigua entail?
Comprising an action-packed programme of five pursuit-style races, the fleet of sailing superyachts will compete over four days as part of this light-hearted competition. The popular sailing yacht regatta also offers the opportunity for superyacht owners to relax and socialise, with a busy schedule of informal parties and social events complementing the action. Strong camaraderie among competitors is valued above all else.
Which super sailing yachts will compete in 2020?
A limited number of 12 to 15 sailing yachts – all of which exceed 80 feet in length – will be invited to compete in the 2020 edition of the Superyacht Challenge Antigua. A number of sailing yacht owners have already expressed interest for the next edition of the regatta: expected to compete are S/Y G2, S/Y REBECCA, S/Y SOJANA and S/Y Zig Zag.
