During our Blue Water Rallies we have met many yachtsmen in the Pacific and "Downunder" who are interested in joining us along our route to the Mediterranean. They like our family-orientated, cruising-only style and recognise the extra safety that can be obtained by sailing with a rally. The Oz-Med Rally has been created to meet that demand.

Safety and Security

Apart from the extra safety factor of an en route HF radio "net", sailing with a rally provides extra security when cruising in certain parts of the world such as the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, where special communications and routeing procedures are applied.

Logistics

We provide logistics support to minimise disruption and to maximise enjoyment of the cruise.

Social/Tourism

There is a social and tourist programme at most stopovers. All of the support services provided for our world Rally are also shared by participants in the Oz-Med Rally.

Rally Itinerary

A professional support team, with first-hand knowledge of local facilities, is present in all major ports of call. Whilst independent cruising is encouraged, participants have the benefit of knowing that the Rally Support Team (otherwise known as Rally Control) will meet them when they arrive and provide a wide range of support, in particular aiming to minimise the impact of local bureaucracy.
